Violent assailant who stomped repeatedly on cowering victim is still at large

A shocking video of a man violently kicking and stomping on another man repeatedly, while the victim cowers on the ground shielding his face, has surfaced online:

The video of the incident, which reportedly occurred at Golden Mile Complex on 11 Oct around 3am, shows the assailant shouting at three other men while the victim is laying on the ground.

Punching one of the three men in the face, the assailant continued to rain kicks on his main victim before fleeing the scene.

The 25-year-old victim, who is believed to be a Singaporean, was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and is believed to be suffering from serious head and facial injuries. The perpetrator is said to be at large.

The police indicated that investigations are ongoing and said they were alerted to a case of voluntarily causing grievous hurt at 5001 Beach Road at 3.07am.

UPDATE: The police have arrested the suspect seen in a video assaulting a man at Golden Mile Complex early on Wednesday (Oct 11) morning.

Marcus Wee Boon How, 22, the man believed to have assaulted a 25-year-old man by stomping on him repeatedly, was brought back to Golden Mile Complex for a reenactment with the police. He will be charged in court tomorrow.
