Lorry driver who killed 5-months pregnant woman was driving recklessly

Shin Min Daily News identified the driver of the lorry which killed a pregnant woman and injured her husband in September 2013 as a 39-year-old man, Ghani. The tragic accident happened on the morning of 3 Sep 2013. The woman who was identified as Ms Lui Yoke Leng, aged 26 and five months pregnant, died after her husband's motorcycle crashed into a lorry that was making a U-turn along Woodlands Road. The baby did not survive the crash as well. The couple were both Malaysians who were working here and had celebrated their honeymoon in Bali just a few months before the accident.   Witnesses who spoke to the Chinese newspaper Wanbao, which first reported the news said that it happened near a construction site, right next to the Woodlands Fire Station at around 8.30am. Shin Min said that the lorry driver was late and driving recklessly before the accident happened.
